Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award

The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg as the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is introduced yearly to a person who has demonstrated distinctive dedication to bettering the lives of youngsters in our neighborhood.
Brian Houchins , a devoted elementary faculty trainer and community volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s training and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of countless kids in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embrace establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy expertise for at-risk youth, and main a profitable community-driven marketing campaign to improve native playgrounds, guaranteeing safe and inclusive play spaces for all kids.
The award ceremony will be held on January 15, 2024, at the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The event will characteristic speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
